I keep hearing from my child and relatives that their lives are stressful and they are unable to handle things. I see lives become unhappy and disturbed. Yes, stress is in every life, including mine. It can be job-related or for some other personal reason. You can feel stressed out when you are unable to lose weight and not get that dream figure. Even college students suffer from the same problem. One of my friends left her job to go to a higher degree and now thinks the course is too difficult.
Well Life goes on, but stress leaves an indelible mark on health. Instead of telling you how bad stress can be, let's focus on how to calm down. Stress will always be there, but we need to protect our health first.
Stress Management: 8 Ways To Reduce Stress
I started with what our blog tells us! Lack of exercise contributes to suffering. Exercise is known to release several hormones that reduce stress. This is a great way to keep your body and mind in good shape through exercise.
You all know that !! But you know, when you sleep, the mind rejuvenates. But sometimes you just can't sleep. It happens to everyone. Don't panic, I'll give you tips.
- Sing a religious song (only when you sleep alone or when your partner is upset). My song is Om Jai Jagdish Hare (the last time I sang it it was 1:00 a.m. and I was asleep !!!)
- Count sheep
- Read a boring book
Hope at least one trick works for you!
3. Reduce your sugar and coffee consumption.
I know it is difficult. Some people open their eyes to a cup of steaming coffee in the morning, but you can try reducing your intake. You can eat candy occasionally, but not go overboard. Try not to make sweets your comfort food.
4. Reduce the task list
You can't put everything into the 24 hours of a day. Be flexible and that would be very good for your stress.
Listening to your favorite music can work wonders. I know a dentist who plays his list of favorite songs in his clinic while working on a patient. When I visit him, he taps his foot to the beat of the song and works on my teeth at the same time. I think we can all apply this to some degree in our working life. It is known to increase productivity as well.
6. Hot water bath
There is nothing in this world like a hot water bath. It's so relaxing and rejuvenating at the same time. At the end of a stressful day, end your worries with a hot water bath!
No, I am not asking you to burn a large hole in your pocket when you visit the spa, but you can conveniently purchase scented candles and light them in your room. This will help you relieve stress.
8. Play with your pets
Have you touched a puppy's fur? It feels like velvet, and the loving response you get from the little creature will lift your spirits. I've seen pictures of people who work in the Google office and bring their dog with them. I wonder when we can get such working environments here in India !!
