It is a disorder of the small intestine; Because of the disorder, the patient's natural defense system reacts to gluten by attacking the lining of the small intestine. The body is therefore unable to absorb the nutrients from the food it eats. Eating gluten free is mainly for these people.

People with celiac disease need to stick to the diet, but ordinary people care just because they feel healthier. You can find a lot of gluten-free stuff these days (mostly bread).
There is a lack of awareness of celiac disease in India. For people without this disease, this isn't a good bet, as a gluten-free diet means you will be missing the vitamins and minerals that whole grains have to offer.
