Make rose tea at home, the easiest way …….
Let me show you a very simple way of making rose tea at home. People like me have little confidence in packaged products that have an aroma and strong taste, so I don't trust the rose tea bought in the store. I prefer to make my rose tea at home with fresh rose petals that have been handpicked from my small vegetable garden. The rose pictured above comes from my pesticide-free and purely organic vegetable garden.
There are several ways to prepare rose tea. You can buy dried rose petals from the market and mix them with tea leaves. Nowadays rose tea buds are also available online.
- All you need to make rose tea from fresh rose petals is rose petals from one or two pesticide-free roses.
- Pluck the petals and wash them in the running water.
- Add these to two cups of boiling water. Let it cook for a few minutes.
- Add any green tea of your choice.
- Cover and let steep for a few minutes.
- Strain the tea into glasses and add the sweetener of your choice. I like adding honey, black salt and some fresh lime juice to add freshness in the summer. You can add ginger or cinnamon to make the rose tea more flavorful.
This is the end result of my fresh rose tea
I make a few cups of rose tea in the morning and keep them in the fridge for later enjoyment with a few ice cubes. This tea can be consumed once or twice a day to aid weight loss. However, remember to keep sweeteners under control or just avoid them.
